Why not?

What’s beef

I’ve lived in Pittsburgh for a year at the end of the quarter so I’ve had some time to observe the city. Since living here I’ve notice some things that I didn’t really expect out of the city. One of the things would be how everything in downtown closes pretty early it seems like most of the places around downtown close about 7 o’clock. It’s kind of shocking since things in my town back home don’t even close that early. Even when I was in California and remember things in the city not closing till real late. I mean there is still southside to go to for places to eat and hang I guess, but it seems most of the resturants/bars don’t let you in after 9 unless you’re 21, its kinda like having a curfew which is pretty stupid to me.

I don’t really like the housing service that AIP offers really, mainly its the people they have working for housing. The students that are RA’s in shannon think they are almost better than you because they seem to think that they have a power of you. Which I mean it is their job to enforce rules but it’s a different story when you hear one thing and see another. The RA’s don’t always follow the rules themselves and bend the rules for their friends. I have a friend who is an RA tell me that they even admitted to her that they don’t follow the rules and there are certian students in housing that they like to cause trouble for.

Another thing I don’t like about housing staff is recently they changed the package pick up times to ridiculous times. You aren’t allowed to pick packages up on the weekends now and you can only pick packages up  between 8am-6pm. My schedule doesn’t really me allow me to follow with that schedule and I get important stuff in the mail that i need to pick up and I have to basically beg whoever is working to let me get my mail which is ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to beg for MY mail. I mean if the post office can deliever packages on saturday so should the staff,I mean they do keep the packages in the back office so it’s not like they have to go very far to get them in first place.
